All electric Sierra Ev is set to get launched launched today by Tata Motors, it is ready to bring back its most iconic SUVs in a modern electric form. The name Sierra has a very special place in India’s automative history, and the new EV aims is to combine legacy with advanced technology, premium features and a long driving range.

Though not all the technical details has been revealed by the company yet, already several key highlights have emerged ahead of the official launch. The prices are expected to get announced tomorrow.

Updated Design With EV Specific Styling

The all new Tata Sierra Sierra EV has the same look as its petrol and diesel version but do come with several design changes that do set this apart. A closes grille has been features at the front, it has also redesigned its bumper and connected LED daytime running lights instead of the eyebrow style lighting seen on the ICE version.

Apart from EV badging, the side profile of the care remains mostly unchanged. At the back, the SUV also has got the connected LED tail lamps and new badges that identify it as an electric vehicle.

Premium Cabin Loaded With Features

The interior of the all new Sierra EV is expected to feature a theme which in grey and black shade. The triple screen dashboard layout is retained in this model, including its digital instrument cluster, it will also retain infotainment touchscreen and a separate display for the passengers sitting in the front.

Several other premium features are excepted to be offered in this SUV, which includes ADAS, Dolby Atmos audio, wireless phone charging, memory function powered front seats, seat thats are ventilated, dual zone climate control, a 360 degree camera, an air purifier and  also a powered tailgate.

When it comes to safety, the Sierra EV comes with sic airbags, ABD with EBD, and electronic parking brake, reminder for seat belt, and safety system with advanced technology. The 5 star crash safety rating is also expected to get targeted by it.

Battery, Performance And Expected Price

The Sierra EV will produce up to 500 Nm of peal torque through a dual motor all wheel drive setup as confirmed by Tata Motors. While power figures are yet to be announced, around 300 hp is expected to be delivered by it.

With 65kWh and 75kWh battery pack option is offered in the Sierra EV. Multiple drive and terrain modes is expected to get featured. Tata is expected to claim a driving range of more than 600 km on a full charge, with better real world efficiency than the Harrier EV.

The Sierra EV is expected to start at around Rs 17.50 lakh (ex showroom). It will be positioned between the Nexon EV and the Harrier EV in Tata Motors’ electric SUV lineup.
