Maintain a steady speed and keep your speed slow in low gear while crossing waterlogged areas. There are high chances of losing control if there is sudden acceleration and braking.
Do not restart your engine, if the car stalls in floodwater. Serious damage could be caused to engine as there is high possibility that water might have entered engine. Try taking roadside assistance.
Gently apply the break few times, after crossing the stretch that has been flooded. Let the brake dry and restore proper braking performance.

Avoiding applying sudden breaks ion wet road. Stay closer to the centre of the road rather then driving on the sides on highways or roads. As water tend to get collected near the edges where potholes and open manhole may be hidden.
Keep the gear at low and maintain a steady throttle while crossing shallow water. If water appears too deep, try taking another way or try staying at homes.
Once you reach your destination safely, lubricant the chain of your vehicle if required and clean your bike, as corrosion can be caused and lead to wear due to floodwater.
Avoid travelling unnecessarily whenever possible during monsoon times and do not underestimate the danger that you face due flooded roads. During the time of heavy rains, having patience and being cautious are the best safety tools.
