Mercedes Benz, a luxury carmaker is set to take a bold step into a ultra premium MPV segment with upcoming Mercedes Maybach VLS. Under the Maybach badge it will be the top model, this new model is for the buyers who want car which is spacious, high end comfortable car with driver.

 

The first MPV will be VLS to carry the Maybach name and will be based on the advanced Van Electric Architecture platform. This luxury people mover will be offered as a fully electric vehicle, unlike other standard models, it showcases the company’s push towards sustainable yet premium mobility. Around 2027, the production is expected to begin, placing it above existing models available like the Maybach S class in the hierarchy of the brand.

Focus On Ultra Luxury Rear Seat Experience

 

With the strong focus on rear seat comfort, targeting affluent buyers, the new VLS is being designed, it targets the affluent buyers whose priority is space and luxury over driving dynamics. Inspired by the Mercedes Benz Vision V concept, the top tier materials and advanced technology is expected to get featured by cabin.

 

The car might come with comfortable reclining captain seats, a 65 inch large rear entertainment screen, and a high end Dolby Atmos sound system. It is also expected to come with premium touches of Nappa leather upholstery, wood trims, and ambient lightening synced with music are also likely to be included in the package. The brands idea is to create a “private lounge on wheels” experience for passenger.

Rising Demand For Luxury MPVs Drives Strategy

 

Globally the luxury MPVs are gaining popularity with the move, including in markets like India. Toyota Velfire and Lexus LM are the models have already seen strong demand among the buyer who fall under premium category list of buyers.

 

With this VLS, the aim of Mercedes aim is to tap into this growing segment while expanding its electric vehicle lineup. The V Class has already been reintroduced by the company and is working n other models like the VLE, showing a clear strategy to strengthen the presence in the luxury people mover space.

 

With the growing demand for spacious and chauffeur driven vehicle rises, the upcoming Maybach VLS could become the one to redefine expectations in the ultra luxury MPV segment.
