Tata Tiago EV And Tiago Facelift Set For India Launch Tomorrow: Here’s What’s Coming

The updated Tata Tiago and Tiago Facelift is all set to get launched by Tata Motors in India tomorrow, bringing out major design changes, upgraded interiors, and several other new features to the poplar hatchback lineup. Both the models have already been revealed, ahead of the official announcements. It has given buyers a clear look at what the refreshed versions will offer.

The facelift of Tata Tiago EV and Tiago are expected to target those who looking for hatchback in affordable pricing with a more premium appearance and improved technology. Tata Motors is mainly focusing on  modern styling, better cabin quality, and enhanced convenience features.

Sharper Exterior Design With Modern Styling

 

A complete refreshed front end design is received by the updated Tata Tiago. Sleeker LED headlamps is now featured along with eyebrow style LED daytime running lights, giving the hatch a better and more aggressive presence look on road. The front bumper of the Tata Motors has also been redesigned with black accents for a sportier look.

Additionally, the facelift model additionally gets new pixel style LED fog lamps, revised alloy wheels, and updated ORVMs with an integrated camera pods. At the back (rear), connected LED tail lamps stands out as one of the biggest highlights of this new refreshed hatchback model.

The Tata Tiago EV on the other hand gets a slightly different design approach. It being an electric vehicle, it comes with a revised bumpers, closed off grille, and aero optimised wheels that aims at improving efficiency and aerodynamics.

Updated Cabin With New Features

 

The Tata Tiago EV and Tiago Facelifts features a redesigned dashboard layout from inside, with a cleaner and more modern appearance. With black and grey of the cabin continues to be the same, but the updated styling gives the interior a lot more premium feel as compares to the outgoing models.

Now the standard Tiago gets free standing driver’s display and a new two spoke steering wheel which has an illuminated Tata logo. The all new Tiago EV also comes with floating style screens and additional gloss black elements across the dashboard.

In addition, features are also expected to include a 360 degree camera, rear AC vents, dual wireless phone chargers, tyre pressure monitoring system (TPMS), and six speaker audio system.  Six airbags is likely to be offered by Tata Motors across both models.

 

Engine And Battery Details Expected To Continue

The petrol version of Tata Tiago is expected to continue with the existing 1.2 litre naturally aspired petrol engine along with a CNG option. It is likely to get both AMT gearbox and manual choices.

With the current battery pack options the Tata Tiago EV could continue with you. Though according to the reports, Tata Motors may introduce updated battery technology and battery range figures. The existing Tiago EV is currently available with 19.2kWh and 24kWh battery packs.

Tata’s newer 6 in 1 electric drivetrain technology for improved efficiency and packaging may get introduced by the company.

Expected Pricing And Rivals

 

The pricing of the Tata Tiago facelift are expected to begin at around Rs 5 lakh (ex showroom). The Tata Tiago EV facelift version could witness a slight price increase over the current model, its price is expected to be between Rs 7.00 lakh and Rs 11.14 lakh (ex showroom).

 

The Tata Tiago Ev is expected to continue to compete against the rivals such as MG Comet EV and Citroen eC3 in the affordable hatchback segments, once it gets launched in the market.

 

The all new Tata Tiago EV and Tiago Facelift is expected to launch with updated styling, more premium features, and expected safety improvements, which could help in strengthening Tata Motors position in both petrol and electric hatchback markets.
