Anand Mahindra, the Chairman of Mahindra Group has shared a video which showcases Mahindra Armada armoured vehicles being transported by train. The video has gone viral and has attracted attention online, while many other users are reacting to the sight of the military vehicles.

“Mahindra Armado…. Reporting for duty..Sir!”, with this caption a video has been shared by Mahindra on X. More than 6.6 lakh views has been received by this post gone viral.

Video shared, showcases how several Armado vehicles on a moving train can be secured.  Association with military use can be seen in the vehicles with green and khakhi colour. The exact location from where the video was recorded has not been revealed.

What Is The Mahindra Armado?

For the Indian Armed Forces, the Mahindra Armado has been developed as an Armoured Light Specialist Vehicle by Mahindra Defence Systems.

The main aim to design this vehicle is according to the environments where protection, mobility, and carrying capacity are important. This vehicle can be used for multiple roles, which include reconnaissance, weapons carrying and operations related to border security.

Armado Engine And Performance

By 3.2 litre turbocharged diesel engine, the Armado is powered with. Production of 215 bhp and 500 Nm of peak torque is seen it. It comes with an engine paired with a four speed automatic transmission and a 4×4 drivetrain.

The top speed of the vehicle is around 120 kmph. Upto 8 personnel along with a payload of up to 1 tonne can be carried.

Protection And Off Road Features

One of the main feature of the Armado is protection. B7 ballistic protection and STANAG level II protection is offered by the vehicle. It also provided protection against several battlefield threats.

Central tyre inflation system and BFGoodrich all terrain run fast tyres is also offered in the Armado. These tyres speciality is to allow the vehicle to move for up to 50 km even after a puncture or loss of air pressure.

The aim of Armado design is to support different operational requirements and it is due to its combination for protection , off road ability and payload capacity.
