Toyota’s next gen Hilux has arrived in India with a bolder face. The model features a bolder exterior design, a heavily overhauled dashboard with twin 12.3inch screens, and the trusted 204 PS 2.8 litre diesel engine. Fresh Exterior Styling:
At the front there is a new body coloured honeycomb grille replacing the large hexagonal unit, slimmer LED Headlamps, a redesigned bumper and a skid plate. While the middle body section and doors would be same as earlier. The profile is enhanced with newly styled alloy wheels that would be around 17 inch blacked out rims with the large side profile that is going to remain hardly unchanged. The new model is coming with the traditional Toyota logo which is omitted from the exterior instead, the brand name is spelled out at the rear, accompanied by the Hilux name.
Updated Cabin and Features:
The new Toyota Next Gen Hilux is designed with a new bumper and a LED tail lamps including with a new dashboard with a 12.3inch touchscreen display with a new steering wheel with an updated Centre console with physical controls. The new model of Toyota Hilux is expected to come with a 360 degree camera, six airbags, dual zone climate control, ADAS, ventilated front seats along with other features. The new model of Toyota Hilux comes with a 3 spoke steering wheel, wireless charging, rear USB ports, ambient lighting, dual zone climate control, cooled glovebox.
Engine and Battery Details:
The next generation of Hilux model is expected to retain the 2.8 liter four cylinder turbo diesel engine producing 204 hp and 500 Nm of Torque. The new model is likely to include a six speed manual gearbox and a six speed torque converter automatic. The pickup is also expected to continue with a 4X4 system featuring a low range transfer case. The diesel mild hybrid pairs a 204 hp turbo diesel engine with a 48 volt lithium ion battery. The BEV utilises a 59.2 kwh battery and dual electric motors.
