Once again, ex Chief Minister of Delhi Arvind Kejriwal Blue Wagon R once again has grabbed the attention after he spoke about his car on a recent podcast. The rise of the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) and his early political journey has been closely associated with this simple hatchback.
Sarthak Goswami, during his conversation with Kejriwal asked about what happened to his well known blue Wagon R. He told how that car was used after AAP’s first election but later on it was condemned. Later on, he started using an official vehicle, and other AAP member started using the Wagon R for official purposes.

How Arvind Kejriwal Blue Wagon R Became Famous
During the 2013 Delhi Assembly elections, the blue Wagon R became famous. While late and expensive cars are used by politicians, Arvind Kejriwal was often seen associated with the small hatchback.
According to the report, the car has been donated to the Aam Aadmi Party and was seen being used in its early campaigns. The simple appearance of the car clearly matched the image of the party of connecting with the ordinary people.
In 2013 Delhi Assembly elections and AAP won 28 seats and formed government with outside support from the Congress. For three times, Delhi Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit was defeated by Kejriwal in the New Delhi constituency.
Soon, the blue Wagon R became part of the story surrounding early political success of AAP.
What Happened to the Blue Wagon R?
Even after the first election, the car was continued to be used. Later on it was condemned. After 2015, he stated use an official vehicle, while AAP members continues using the hatchback for official work.
Recently, his comment have brought the old car back into spotlight. On social media, users have been seen sharing posts and memes about the hatchback, especially due to the contrast with which the luxury SUVs are commonly seen being used by the politicians.

What Special Features did Arvind Kejriwal Blue Wagon R had?
It was registered in 2005 and was the first generation Maruti Suzuki Wagon R. Around 64 bhp and 84 Nm torque is produced by the 1.1 litre petrol engine.
The measurement of the car is around 3,595 mm in length, 1,495 mm in width and wheelbase is around 2,400 mm. Passengers get a relatively spacious cabin despite of its compact dimensions.
Five people could be seated around in the Wagon R and was very welly known its practical design and everyday usability.
Why Is the Car Still Remembered?
This blue Wagon R of Kejriwal was more than just a car. It purely became the identity of APP and its political image.
Even after year, the hatchback has attracted attention whenever its story is discussed. And how an ordinary 2005 Wagon R became most recognisable cars.
