Planning To Move Your Vehicle? NOC Rule May Soon Be Scrapped

Now transferring a vehicle from one state of India to another may soon become a lot simpler process. The proposal is currently under the government review that could remove the need for a No Objection Certificate (NOC), which has long been a mandatory step for inter state vehicle transfers.

It is important in present for he vehicle owners to obtain an NOC from the original Regional Transport Office (RTO) before re registering their vehicle in a new state. This document is for confirmation that there are no pending dues such a traffic challans or road tax. Though, this process takes a little longer and involves multiple steps, causing delays for people relocating or selling vehicles across states.
